Man fatally stabbed in Tenerife as police urge neighbours to stay indoors!
The National Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred at approximately 8:00pm last night (Monday) in San Matías, a neighbourhood of La Laguna, Tenerife.
The victim, a young man of Sub-Saharan origin, was reportedly involved in an altercation with another man who he shared an apartment with. During the dispute, he sustained a fatal knife wound to the neck.
The alleged perpetrator was apprehended by the National Police after resisting arrest. Witnesses reported tense moments during the incident, as officers from the Police Intervention Unit (UIP) used a loudspeaker to instruct nearby residents to "immediately go into their homes" and “stay indoors”.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
