Man dies after falling from a bridge in Tenerife

A man has died after falling from the Zurita bridge, located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as confirmed by the Canary Islands Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).

Emergency resources, including firefighters, ambulances, and agents of the Local Police and National Police were dispatched to the scene of the incident, but SUC paramedics could only confirm his death on arrival.

At this stage no details of the victim have been released, although his family have been informed, and psychological support for them in the face of the tragic event has been requested.

The police have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and to find out how he fell, was pushed, or jumped from the bridge.
