The Arona Local Police have arrested a man who was found carrying a large knife while travelling on a TITSA bus in the south of Tenerife.
The weapon, which had a 13-centimetre blade, was spotted by the bus driver who called the 112 emergency call centre for help.
The incident occurred on 3rd March (Monday) when the bus driver alerted the authorities about a passenger allegedly carrying a bladed weapon. Police quickly arrived at the scene and conducted a search, confirming that the man was indeed in possession of the knife.
Upon checking his identity, they found that he had an active arrest warrant against him issued by the Investigating Court No. 3 of Arona in Los Cristianos.
In a separate incident, the Arona Local Police also apprehended another person who was wanted under an arrest warrant from Investigating Court No. 7 of Valencia. During the early hours of 2nd March (Sunday), officers noticed a car performing an evasive manoeuvre upon spotting them. After stopping the vehicle and checking the occupants' identities, they confirmed the outstanding warrant.
Both individuals were taken into custody, and investigations are ongoing. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the motives behind these incidents or the legal proceedings that will follow.
