Major traffic delays after car catches fire in crash in south Tenerife
An accident in Tenerife caused significant delays this lunchtime (Monday) in the south of the island, particularly at the entrance to Guía de Isora, where several vehicles were involved.
The incident happened around midday, prompting a large emergency response including firefighters and several ambulances.
Early reports from the scene suggest the crash may have been caused by a head-on collision between two cars, resulting in substantial damage, with one of the vehicles bursting into flames, requiring immediate intervention from firefighters to extinguish the flames and secure the area.
As a result of the accident, police diverted traffic through Guía de Isora, leading to further disruption on this busy route in south Tenerife.
At this stage, it remains unclear whether anyone has been injured.
