An alert has been issued by SOS Desaparecidos to locate Gary Ferns, a 70-year-old British male resident of Tenerife, who has been missing since 19th December 2024.
He was last seen being picked up by an ambulance in the Playa Las Vistas area of Los Cristianos at about 10:00pm, and has not been seen since.
According to a local friend, the National Police called an ambulance after he was taken ill, and he was taken to Mojon Hospital for treatment and was discharged on the 20th. However, he has not been seen since.
Gary Ferns is 1.69 metres tall, has a normal build, blonde hair, blue eyes, with a beard and moustache. He lives full-time in Tenerife, has mobility issues due to past illness and a broken hip, and uses a walking frame making it extremely unlikely that he could travel far without assistance.
Gary is a familiar face in Playa Las Vistas, known to locals and businesses in the area, including Noah’s Ark in Puerto Colon, a spot he frequently visited. His sudden disappearance has raised alarm among his friends and the community, who are deeply worried for his safety.
The organisation has called on the public to assist in the search. Anyone with information that could help locate him is urged to contact SOS Desaparecidos on the phone numbers 649 952 957 or 644 712 806.
