The Carnaval Internacional de Los Cristianos 2026 has unveiled its official poster and confirmed the dates for this year’s celebrations. The festivities will take place from 5th to 16th March, transforming the popular resort in the south of Tenerife into one of the island’s main party venues for twelve days.
The poster, created by artist Nareme Melián, embraces the theme of space exploration. At its centre is the figure of an astronomer looking through a telescope, capturing the moment just before discovery.
The character is depicted in neutral tones, contrasting with the vibrant explosion of colours that symbolises the energy and identity of Carnival.
Planets inspired by Roman mythology, Venus, Mercury, Uranus and Neptune, appear as stylised, human-like figures, giving movement and theatricality to the design. This blend of mythology and astronomy forms a visual narrative that fits the festive, imaginative spirit of the 2026 edition.

According to the organisers, the creative process began with a pencil sketch focused on structure and balance before being digitised and coloured with a bold palette that enhances the dynamism of the artwork.
The poster now sets the visual identity for a celebration that will once again draw thousands of locals and tourists to Los Cristianos.
