Jet2 plans to transport 4 million Brits to Spain this summer, 10% more than in 2023

In a thrilling announcement at FITUR, Jet2.com declared a 10% increase in passenger numbers to Spain for the upcoming summer. The airline is set to add an impressive 360,000 more seats for the peak season, aiming to carry around four million passengers to the Iberian Peninsula, Balearic Islands, and Canary Islands.

Highlighting their commitment to providing exceptional travel opportunities, Jet2.com will offer a great opportunity for hundreds of thousands of British children to travel to Spain for free with Jet2holidays.

In total, the low-cost carrier will feature an impressive 124 routes from the UK to Spain, showcasing a remarkable increase of ten routes compared to last summer. The peak season will witness an extraordinary 740 flights, a whopping 77 more than in 2023.

An eagerly anticipated highlight is the new connection from Liverpool to eight airports in the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, and Alicante, scheduled to start in late March. Jet2.com hails this as the "biggest innovation" of the year, as stated in their official press release.

Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife Sur, and Alicante-Elche will experience the most robust operational activity, with notable seat increases at Almería (30%) and Fuerteventura (20%). Jet2.com will maintain its leading position in terms of passenger numbers at key airports like Lanzarote, Tenerife Sur, and Reus.

Teaming up with their associated tour operator, Jet2holidays, which works with over 1,400 hotels, Jet2.com is poised to uphold its status as the foremost airline in the British market for the Canary and Balearic Islands, offering over 1.5 and 1.2 million seats in arrivals, respectively.
