Jet2 launches new VIP flights from October
Jet2.com has announced it will introduce its first-ever VIP charter flights, with business class seats, from October 2026. The specially adapted Boeing 737-800, based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, will operate between October 2026 and May 2027.
The aircraft, which would normally carry 189 passengers, has been reconfigured to accommodate just 76 seats in a spacious business-style layout. The move comes in response to growing demand for greater privacy and comfort during charter flights.
Passengers booking the VIP charter service will benefit from at least 109cm of legroom, significantly more than standard economy seating which has 76cm. High-end catering options will also be available onboard and can be tailored to individual client requirements.
Trevor Caplis, Jet2’s Director of Charter and Airline Sales, described the development as “a very exciting step forward for both Jet2 and our charter customers,” adding, “Our premium VIP customer service experience elevates travel without the stress, which focuses on providing exceptional service to create an enjoyable journey from start to finish.”
Continued Expansion for Summer 2027
Alongside the VIP charter announcement, Jet2holidays and Jet2.com have launched their Summer 2027 programme earlier than ever before.
The leisure airline and the UK’s largest tour operator are offering flights and holiday packages from 13 UK airports to 59 sun and beach destinations, including the Canary Islands.
The Summer Sun 2027 programme includes more than 19 million seats across 470 routes, allowing customers and independent travel agents to secure early bookings well in advance.
For the thousands of British travellers flying to Lanzarote and the wider Canary Islands each week, the new VIP charter option adds a premium travel choice, just in time for the 2026 winter season.
