TITSA (Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife), the public transport company in Tenerife, are implementing changes to several bus routes due to ongoing roadworks at the San Miguel-Las Chafiras interchange on the southbound lane of the TF-1 motorway, from Monday, July 15th.
To accommodate passengers affected by the closure of stop 7136 in Las Chafiras, TITSA are installing a provisional stop at the Repsol Oroteanda petrol station, approximately 3 kilometres from the original location. This temporary stop will serve both southbound and northbound routes.
The affected bus lines include:
111 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife-Costa Adeje)
711 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife-Costa Adeje, night service)
450 (Costa Adeje-Los Cristianos-San Isidro)
452 (San Isidro-Costa Adeje-La Caleta)
To facilitate access to the new bus stop, TITSA are offering a shuttle bus (number 880), which will take passengers the three kilometres from the old stop to the new provisional stop. The shuttle will depart every 15 minutes from Calle La Folía, opposite the Aldi supermarket.
The shuttle route will go through Avenida Islas Canarias, Calle Hermano Pedro, the Oroteanda roundabout, the TF-1, and finally to the Repsol Oroteanda petrol station.
Passengers who used to disembark at the now inoperative stop (No. 7136-Las Chafiras) will now need to get off at the Repsol Oroteanda petrol station. The shuttle will then take them to Calle La Folía, opposite Aldi Las Chafiras.
The shuttle service will operate from 5:55am to 8:40pm daily. After this time, the affected bus lines (111, 711, 450, 452, and 40) will stop at Ayanto (7374) after accessing and turning at the Llano del Camello roundabout.
