The National Police have arrested a 43-year-old man on drug charges after discovering he had a “crack lab” at his home and was selling drugs in Santa Cruz, Tenerife.
Local residents alerted authorities to suspicious activities, reporting that he was distributing cocaine and crack from his apartment in the capital of Tenerife.
Following these reports, the National Police opened an investigation which confirmed the neighbours' suspicions. In collaboration with the Local Police Canine Unit, they raid the suspect's home where they seized €1,040 in cash, 70 grams of powdered cocaine, 80 doses of crack prepared for immediate sale, 10 grams of compact crack tablets, and a home-based laboratory used for manufacturing the drug.
During the raid, the suspect was arrested on the premises where the alleged criminal activities were taking place and has been placed in preventive detention by the judicial authorities pending further investigation.
