A flight from Gran Canaria had to turn back shortly after take-off yesterday (Tuesday) when a dog managed to escape from its travel crate in the aircraft’s cargo hold as reported by air traffic controllers on X.
After circling to burn off fuel, the aircraft, which was destined for Granada, safely returned and landed at Gran Canaria Airport. The crew managed to secure the lively pet, and once the situation was resolved, the flight was able to depart again without further problems.
All passengers later continued their journey to Granada, with the airline confirming there were no additional delays or safety issues.
