Fight on beach in Callao Salvaje leaves one hospitalised with a serious head injury
A man has been hospitalised after suffering a serious head injury during a fight on Playa Ajabo Beach in Callao Salvaje, in the south of Tenerife, yesterday afternoon (Sunday), according to reports from the emergency services.
The altercation occurred shortly after 2:40pm, when the 112 operations centre received a call requesting medical assistance for two injured people on the beach.
On arrival, SUC paramedics found only one of them still at the scene, as the other had already left. They treated the injured man at the beach before taking him to the Hospital del Sur by ambulance.
Both the Guardia Civil and Local Police of Adeje attended the incident and assisted emergency responders.
The incident comes less than 24 hours after another fight in Icod de los Vinos on Saturday afternoon, which also left one person hospitalised.
