Kylian Mbappé, one of Real Madrid's biggest stars, and one of the best players in the world, received a hero's welcome upon the team's arrival in Gran Canaria today ahead of their match tonight against UD Las Palmas at the Estadio Gran Canaria (kickoff at 8:30pm).
The French forward, along with his teammates, was greeted by a large crowd of enthusiastic fans gathered outside the Santa Catalina Hotel at 12.30pm, where the reigning European champions are staying.
This is Mbappé's first time on the island, making his presence a special occasion for local supporters who eagerly awaited a glimpse of the football sensation in the heart of Las Palmas.
Real Madrid travel to Las Palmas needing to win to prevent Barcelona from opening up a four or five-point lead in the league, depending on their result too. Barca are the only team who have won their first three league games after beating Valencia, Athletic and Rayo Vallecano.
