The National Police have arrested two people on charges of drug trafficking after discovering a residential property operating as a “drug supermarket” next to a school in El Sobradillo, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The investigation began following reports that a house near the Las Veredillas High School was allegedly selling illegal substances, primarily cocaine and hashish. Early findings confirmed it as an active point of sale, sparking an official probe.
On October 16th, officers executed a search warrant at the residence, leading to the arrest of two report any information about such activities o suspects and the seizure of substantial amounts of illicit substances and related materials. In total, they confiscated 180 grams of cocaine, €9,060 in cash, a vehicle, jewellery, scales, an airsoft handgun, and various tools used for portioning and packaging drugs for sale.
The suspects have since been handed over to judicial authorities for prosecution. The National Police emphasised the importance of community involvement in combating drug-related crime and encouraged citizens with any information about such activities to report it anonymously via the “Contact” section on policia.es or through the email antidroga@policia.es.
