A driver has managed to flee from police during a high-speed chase on one of Tenerife’s busiest motorways. The pursuit happened on Sunday along the TF-1 near Barranco Hondo.
There has been footage circulating widely on social media which shows two National Police cars in pursuit of a vehicle speeding through traffic as officers attempted to stop it.
Police have confirmed that the driver ignored orders to stop and successfully escaped, disappearing into the flow of traffic.
The chase took place at a time when the road was heavily congested, making the situation even more difficult for the police to track him. Authorities have not yet revealed why the car was initially targeted or what led up to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
