A 35-year-old woman was hospitalised yesterday afternoon (Friday) following a serious quad bike accident in Granadilla de Abona, in the south of Tenerife.
The incident occurred at around 5:00pm on Calle Orchilla, when the vehicle reportedly crashed into a wall, according to the Emergency and Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) who received a call alerting them to the accident, which left the rider in need of urgent medical attention.
Emergency responders were immediately dispatched to the scene, where paramedics treated the woman at the site before transferring her to hospital by ambulance with moderate trauma injuries.
The police have not released further details on the circumstances of the crash, but the incident serves as a reminder of the risks involved in handling quad bikes, particularly on public roads.
