The Local Police in Mogán have arrested a man with two active search and arrest warrants while he was riding an electric scooter through a pedestrian zone in Arguineguín in Gran Canaria.
The arrest took place at around 2:00am on 27th February near the Plaza Pérez Galdós.
The man was stopped by officers for driving a Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV) on the pavement, and upon checking his identification in the police database, they discovered there was two active arrest warrants against him.
One warrant, issued by Court of Instruction No. 1 in Las Palamas, was related to the theft or unlawful use of a vehicle. The second warrant, from Criminal Court No. 4, was for armed robbery.
The officers immediately arrested the man and took him to the police station for further processing. The swift action by the police ensured the detention of a dangerous individual wanted for multiple crimes.
