Cloud, rain showers but rising temperatures forecast for the Canary Islands this weekend

The Canary Islands are set for a cloudy few days with mixed conditions according to forecasts from the state weather agency, AEMET. From now until Sunday there will be some light rain showers, clouds, but slightly warmer daytime temperatures across the Canary Islands.
While no significant weather events are expected, showers are forecast in several parts of the islands, particularly in the north and east, plus some in the south of Tenerife.
Here is the general outlook for the next few days:
Thursday
Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will have mostly clear skies with some cloud early in the morning and during the middle of the day. In Tenerife and Gran Canaria, skies will be generally cloudy, with light to moderate rain showers, especially in the centre of the islands and on northern and eastern slopes, where it could be persistent at times.
Temperatures will see little change or a slight drop, particularly daytime highs. Winds will be light to moderate from the north.
General temperature range: Low of 17°C and a high of 22°C
Friday
Cloudy intervals are expected in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and the north of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, with a chance of light, occasional rain later in the day. Other areas will be mostly clear with some high cloud.
Night-time temperatures will remain steady, while daytime highs will rise slightly to moderately in Tenerife and Gran Canaria and increase slightly or remain steady in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Northerly winds will be light to moderate, strengthening later in the day.
General temperature range: Low of 17°C and a high of 23°C
Saturday
Cloud will dominate in the north of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, with variable cloud elsewhere. There is a chance of light, occasional rain in the north, particularly in higher areas, and later in the day on southern and south-western slopes.
Minimum temperatures will remain steady or rise slightly, while daytime highs will dip slightly in the western islands and remain largely unchanged in the east. North-easterly winds will be moderate, with stronger gusts possible in exposed areas.
General temperature range: Low of 17°C and a high of 22°C
Sunday
Cloudy conditions will continue in the north and east of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, with a likelihood of light, occasional rain, mainly in the first half of the day. In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, there will be variable cloud with a small chance of isolated light showers.
Temperatures will see little overall change. North-easterly winds will remain moderate, with occasional stronger gusts in exposed areas, particularly on south-east and north-west slopes and inland parts of the eastern islands.
