A 10-year-old boy was rushed to hospital yesterday (Wednesday), after being rescued from the sea with symptoms of drowning as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The child whose identity hasn’t been revealed, is said to be on holiday with his family for Christmas.
The incident occurred at Las Vistas beach in Los Cristianos, in the south of Tenerife, with CECOES receiving an alert at 1:00pm informing them that the child had been pulled from the water by lifeguards, who immediately provided initial assistance upon discovering signs of drowning.
SUC medical personnel soon arrived at the beach and attended to the young boy upon their arrival, stabilising him, then taking him to Hospiten Sur hospital where he has been admitted for further treatment.
The Local Police have filed the necessary reports regarding the incident.
