A car that fell down a slope in Teide National Park last Friday is still lying upside down on the mountainside, becoming an unexpected sight for tourists travelling along the TF-21. Many visitors have been stopping throughout the weekend to photograph the stranded vehicle, which remains clearly visible from the roadside.

The accident happened on 5th December on the stretch of road between Portezuelo and Roques de García. A collision between a car and a motorcycle caused the vehicle to veer off the road and fall around fifteen metres down the slope, ending up upside down among the rocks. The people inside the car were assisted by the Red Cross and medical teams from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC).

According to the SUC, a 54-year-old man suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Quirón Hospital Tenerife. A 69-year-old man was also hurt and was transported to Hospital Parque Tenerife. A 66-year-old woman was also treated for moderate injuries and taken to the same medical centre. The motorcyclist involved was also assessed and assisted by emergency staff.

Four days later, the overturned car remains on the slope as authorities coordinate its safe recovery. Until then, the unexpected sight has become a talking point for visitors making their way through one of the most popular scenic routes on the island.
