The captain of a ship had an unfortunate mishap in Gran Canaria today, Tuesday, when his car ended up at the bottom of the sea in the port of Arinaga.
According to the Port Police, the incident occurred after he forgot to put the handbrake on when left his vehicle on the port side, and it rolled off the dock into the water.
The port authorities posted the retrieval of the vehicle on social media showing the car being hoisted from the water by crane, and confirmed that, fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Despite the dramatic nature of the incident, it serves as a reminder of the importance of securing vehicles properly when leaving them.
