Car bursts into flames after crash on TF-1 in the south of Tenerife
A car was destroyed by fire on the southbound carriageway of the TF-1 motorway in the south of Tenerife yesterday, Friday, causing major traffic delays near junction 78 for Costa Adeje. The blaze started following a collision between two vehicles.
Adeje firefighters, Guardia Civil traffic officers and emergency medical personnel from the Canary Islands Health Service (SUC) were quickly on the scene to control the situation and assist those involved.
The incident caused large traffic jams and tailbacks several kilometres long, leading the authorities to urge drivers to use alternative routes until the road was fully secured and cleared.
Fortunately, according to emergency service reports, no one was injured in the incident.
