Canary Green is proud to announce the successful completion of its latest beach clean-up event held on the 28th of September 2024 at La Caleta in the south of Tenerife, where 40 dedicated volunteers gathered to restore the beauty of our coastline.
Together, they managed to collect multiple bags of trash, ranging from microplastics to larger debris, significantly contributing to the preservation of our marine environment.
This community-driven effort not only showcased the commitment of residents and locals to protecting our shores but also highlighted the urgent need to combat ocean pollution. Volunteers worked tirelessly, demonstrating that collective action can make a meaningful difference.
A special thank you goes out to the sponsors of Canary Green, namely: Tenerife Top Training, Golf Costa Adeje, Hotel Suite Villa Maria, Ocean Beer, and Ashotel, whose generous support made this event possible.
We would particularly like to acknowledge the Ayuntamiento de Adeje and the Oficina de la Participación y el Voluntariado Ambientales de Tenerife for their outstanding commitment to environmental stewardship and for providing vital resources for the clean-up. Their partnership exemplifies the spirit of community collaboration necessary for creating lasting change.
Canary Green remains dedicated to organising initiatives that promote sustainability and encourage community involvement. We look forward to future events aimed at protecting our natural landscapes and fostering a cleaner, healthier planet.
