BREAKING: Man killed whilst changing a wheel at the side of the TF-1 motorway

A man has been killed this morning (Monday) after being run over whilst changing a wheel on his car at the side of the TF-1 motorway in the south of Tenerife.

The incident took place just before 7:00am when the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) received an urgent call informing them that a man had been hit by a car by km88 on the carriageway heading towards Adeje in Guia de Isora.

CECOES immediately dispatched the necessary resources to the scene of the accident and paramedics found the man on the road, but were unable to do anything for him and could only confirm his death due to the seriousness of the injuries he suffered.

The Guardia Civil regulated traffic in the area and took charge of the body until the arrival of the judicial authority, who have taken the body for official identification and autopsy.
