The authorities in Tenerife are conducting a large-scale operation involving the Guardia Civil, Nacional Police, and Local Police of Adeje after an armoured vehicle was brazenly stolen near the Fañabe Plaza Shopping Centre in Costa Adeje this morning, as reported in Diario de Avisos.
The incident unfolded when the vehicle was attacked close to the shopping area, activating an immediate response from the police. After a high-speed chase along the TF-1 motorway, the vehicle was eventually found abandoned in a remote mountainous area of Arico on the west coast of the island.
Police have confirmed that no injuries have been reported in connection with the robbery, but it remains unclear whether the assailants managed to make off with any valuables from the armoured vehicle.
They are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crime, and the Local Police are leading efforts to uncover the identities of the perpetrators and determine the timeline of events leading to the incident.
