A tourist is revived by police officers at Tenerife South airport

Two agents of the National Police managed to revive a 65-year-old Dutch tourist yesterday, who had just disembarked at Tenerife South Airport from a flight from the Netherlands.

According to a press release from the Provincial Police Headquarters, the man collapsed after experiencing difficulties breathing and moving after getting off the plane.

Two officers, stationed at the border post, performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the man and managed to revive him, until airport medical services took over with advanced CPR techniques to maintain his breathing.

Once stabilised, the newly arrived tourist was transferred by ambulance, accompanied by his partner, to hospital for further treatment.
