The History of The History of Music!
In a dazzling collaboration between the Magma Art and Congress Centre and the entertainment production company Creventy Gest, the stage was set in 2012 for a groundbreaking show that would captivate audiences of all backgrounds and ages. Their mission was clear: to create a cultural and leisure attraction, tailor-made for tourists and residents alike.

Thus, History of Music was born – an immersive journey through the annals of music, spanning from its earliest origins to the contemporary chart-toppers. It was a "soundtrack" of our lives, transporting spectators from Gregorian chants and the great classical composers like Mozart and Beethoven to the likes of Michael Jackson and Coldplay. Along the way, it paid homage to Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Abba, Pink Floyd, Queen, and countless other artists who have left an indelible mark on human history.

This extraordinary spectacle immersed the audience in a visual and auditory odyssey through the most renowned opera numbers, musicals, and cinematic hits, as well as various musical styles including Gospel, Soul, Rock, and Disco. The attention to detail in costume, choreography, and acrobatics was impeccable, ensuring a feast for the senses. Yet, it wasn't just about entertainment; History of Music touched the hearts of its viewers with heartfelt tributes to the many artists who left us prematurely.

Over the course of more than two and a half hours, more than 70 songs were performed live by 10 musicians, 8 vocalists, and 10 dancers and acrobats, all under the masterful direction of Eric Viana.

History of Music made its debut during the second Solidarity Gala of the Fast Festival and later staged two special performances: one at the Teatro Guimerá in Santa Cruz and another at Magma. On both occasions, tickets were in high demand and sold out.

The resounding success of these shows convinced the Magma management and Creventy production company to expand their horizons. Between 2012 and 2013, History of Music was scheduled for two to three performances each week at the Magma, gaining immense popularity among both tourists and residents.

It was lauded on TripAdvisor as the best show and top nighttime excursion in Tenerife for 2012 and 2013, surpassing renowned spectacles like Carmen Mota and the Castillo de San Miguel. All travel agencies, tour operators, and most hotels in Tenerife promoted and endorsed the show to their clientele.

History of Music received numerous invitations to perform internationally, including in France, Italy, Germany, and Portugal, and notably at a prominent theatre on Madrid's bustling Gran Via. However, the only time History of Music ventured beyond the Magma's confines, following its Teatro Guimerá premiere, was during the 2013 edition of Arona en Colores, thanks to the keen interest of the Arona Municipal Council.

Recognizing the educational value of a show that showcased the finest compositions in musical history, special sessions were organized for schools in the southern region of the island with the support of Citsur. Hundreds of young people of all ages had the opportunity to enjoy the same beloved music that had resonated with their grandparents and parents.
