The Emergency Services have reported a second outbreak of fire in Tenerife, which is not related to the forest fire currently burning out of control in Los Realejos, in the municipality of El Tanque in the north west of the island.
Firefighters have been dispatched this afternoon to an area called San José de Los Llanos, which is between Santiago del Teide and Garachico. At the moment the scale of this outbreak is unknown.
Meanwhile, ground crews continue to work to contain the Los Realejos fire which has now spread to San Juan de la Rambla, where nine helicopters and a ‘spray’ plane are watering the blaze from the air.
