The National Police arrested a fugitive wanted in the UK yesterday afternoon (Monday) in Los Cristianos in the south of Tenerife, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in the UK for drug trafficking.
According to the official police press release, the investigation began in April when the British NCA (National Crime Agency) contacted the National Police warning that man had fled the UK and had headed to Spain
No details have been released as yet of the man who was wanted for some events that occurred earlier this year, after being sentenced to life imprisonment for being the leader of a criminal organization that, based in Scotland, organised large shipments of cocaine and diamorphine, and then distributed them throughout Scotland.
The agents carried out multiple investigations in several Spanish cities including Alicante, Malaga, and Ibiza, until he was located on the island of Tenerife where, finally, he was arrested in the town of Los Cristianos yesterday.
