A 66-year-old cyclist has been killed after being knocked off his bike by a car on Avenida Los Pueblos in Costa Adeje in the south of Tenerife, according to the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The incident took place shortly before 12:40pm this afternoon (Saturday) when the emergency call centre received an alert requesting medical assistance for the German cyclist who had collided with a vehicle in San Eugenio not far from the Quiron Hospital.
CECOES immediately dispatched the necessary emergency resources, including the Fire Brigade, ambulances, and the Local Police to the scene, but paramedics could only confirm his death from the injuries he sustained in the accident
The man’s body has been taken for official identification and autopsy before the fire brigade could clear the road whilst the police coordinated the traffic.
