A 4-year-old boy is in critical condition after falling from a wall in the Bajamar pools, in the municipality of La Laguna in the north of Tenerife, according to the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The incident took place just after 2:00pm yesterday afternoon (Monday) when the 1-1-2 operating room received an urgent call reporting what had happened and requesting assistance.
Lifeguards from the facility treated the young boy at the scene of the accident and looked after him until paramedics arrived and rushed him, already in critical condition, to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC) for emergency treatment.
According to updates, he is currently being treated for undisclosed injuries and is still in critical condition.
