74-year-old woman rescued after falling on hiking trail in Southern Tenerife

A 74-year-old woman was rescued yesterday, Sunday, after suffering a fall on a hiking trail in Punta de Rasca, located in the municipality of Arona, in the south of Tenerife. The incident was reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES), leading to an emergency response.
The woman, who was hiking near the iconic lighthouse near the coast, required medical assistance after her fall left her unable to walk. Emergency services, including the Special Rescue Unit of the local fire brigade, quickly responded to the call.
Upon reaching her, the fire brigade provided initial medical care and carried her on a stretcher to a location accessible by ambulance. She was then taken by ambulance to the Hospital del Sur, where she was admitted with a moderate leg injury.
Local police also assisted in coordinating the rescue and ensuring smooth operations among the emergency teams involved.
