The National Police have intensified their presence in the main populated areas in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in order to guarantee compliance with the regulations established to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.
During the past week, they have processed 440 fines for various breaches of the regulations, mostly for not wearing a mask or not wearing it properly, which represent 248 sanctions out of the total.
By municipalities, the National Police issued 130 sanctions in the capital of Tenerife, 53 in La Laguna, 42 in Puerto de la Cruz and Los Realejos, 11 in Santa Cruz de la Palma, and 204 in Adeje and Arona, including 15 fifteen bars and restaurants which were fined for breach of closing hours in the southern municipalities.
The actions have been carried out by National Police with the collaboration of the different Local Police Corps of the localities in the province.
