A four-year-old girl was injured after being hit by a car yesterday, Thursday, in Santiago del Teide, Tenerife.
According to the Canary Islands Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES), the incident occurred just before 1:30pm which is when they received an alert reporting that a child had been knocked over by a car on Calle La Hondura and needed immediate medical attention.
Staff from a local medical centre provided initial treatment to the young girl before she was taken to the Hospital del Sur by ambulance for further care.
The Local Police have opened an investigation into the incident and are conducting the necessary procedures to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident. Her nationality and identity have not been revealed.
