Agents of the National Police led the operation with the collaboration of a judicial expert to advise them, and verify all the items that could be considered falsified, resulting in the seizure of approximately 1,500 products, mainly clothes, and accessories, but also there were luxury bags and wallets, as well as sportswear from well-known brands.

All in all the value of the seized items has been estimated at more than 360,000 euros at market prices.

The investigation into counterfeiting in Tenerife began as a result of complaints made by representatives of various prestigious brands, that accused shops of illegally selling counterfeit products using their designs or logos without authorization.

After analyzing the information provided by the representatives of the five affected brands, the National Police carried out the appropriate inquiries, identifying the premises where the counterfeit products were being sold.

Finally, as a result of the operation, four people were arrested at the shops responsible, who have been handed over with the police reports and the seized items to the competent judicial authority awaiting trial.
