32-year-old man rescued from a beach in Costa Adeje by firemen

A 32-year-old man was injured on Saturday afternoon after a fall in a difficult-to-access area at Diego Hernández Beach, in Costa Adeje, in the south of Tenerife.

According to information from the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES), personnel from the fire brigade managed to reach the injured man on foot, who had fallen from several metres in height.

When they got to him, they provided initial medical attention and carried him on a stretcher to a more accessible point, where SUC medical personnel were waiting for him.

They treated the man for a moderately severe leg injury, before transferring by ambulance to the Hospiten Sur hospital in Playa Las Americas for further treatment.
