25-year-old man seriously injured in brutal street attack by ten people in Gran Canaria

A 25-year-old man has been seriously injured after being violently attacked by a group of around ten men in the early hours of Sunday morning in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, according to reports from the Local Police and emergency services.
The assault happened at around 5:00am near the Parque de Santa Catalina area, which is popular with both locals and tourists, especially during weekend nightlife hours.
Witnesses alerted officers after seeing a group repeatedly punching and kicking the victim, with several blows reportedly aimed at his head.
Local Police officers attending the scene immediately called emergency services, and SUC paramedics treated the man at the scene before transferring him by ambulance to the Hospital Insular de Gran Canaria.
Doctors confirmed he suffered a serious head injury caused by repeated heavy impacts during the attack.
Following witness descriptions, police later managed to track down and arrest four suspected attackers, two of whom are minors.
According to investigators, the suspects were identified by the victim’s partner and were found with bruises and traces of blood on their clothing.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing as officers continue searching for the other people believed to have taken part in the assault.
