23-year-old man seriously injured after falling in a rocky area of a Tenerife beach
A 23-year-old man sustained serious injuries after falling in a rocky area of San Juan Beach yesterday afternoon (Thursday), as reported by the Canary Islands Emergency Services (112 Canarias).
The necessary response teams were dispatched to the location given in La Laguna, Tenerife, including the fire brigade, who arrived first at the scene to rescue the injured man and transport him to the nearest medical facilities.
Upon arrival, medical personnel assessed his injuries and determined that he had suffered a severe cranial trauma (head injury). As a result, he was transferred via a medicalised ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC) for urgent treatment.
Local Police officers were also present at the scene and conducted the necessary investigation into the accident.
Authorities urge beachgoers to exercise caution, especially in rocky areas, to prevent similar accidents and ensure safety for all visitors.
