A 22-year-old woman has been seriously injured following a quad bike accident on the TF-21 road in the municipality of Vilaflor, Tenerife. The incident, which took place on Friday, also left another person injured, according to a report by the Emergencies Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The accident happened at approximately 6:35pm, which is when CECOES received an alert reporting the incident. The caller informed them that two people required urgent medical assistance, prompting them to immediately dispatch emergency response teams.
SUC medical personnel provided initial treatment to the woman at the scene of the accident, and confirmed that she had suffered severe multiple injuries and transferred her to the University Hospital Hospiten Sur by ambulance. She was later moved to the Canary Islands University Hospital due to the severity of her condition.
The second injured person, a male, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Hospital del Sur for further treatment and routine observation.
Environmental authorities assisted medical teams at the scene, while the Guardia Civil conducted the necessary investigation into the circumstances and cause of the accident.
