A 22-year-old British man is in critical condition after being stabbed in the early hours of this morning (Sunday) in Playa Las Americas, Tenerife, according to the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The incident happened at around 6:30am on Avenida Antonio Domínguez Alfonso, which is when CECOES received an alert requesting assistance for a male victim who had been injured in a stabbing attack.
CECOES immediately dispatched the necessary emergency resources to the location given, where medical personnel the injured man who had suffered a severe abdominal wound.
After stabilising him, they transported him by ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria where he was admitted in critical condition for urgent treatment
The National Police have taken over the investigation, conducting the necessary inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
