A two-year-old boy was injured last night, Friday, after accidentally falling from a third-floor balcony to the street in Calle San Sebastián de La Gomera in El Fraile, in the south of Tenerife.

The incident occurred at around 10:30pm, when the Canary Islands Emergency Coordination Centre (CECOES) received an alert reporting the fall, and immediately dispatched the necessary emergency services to the scene.

Paramedics provided first aid at the scene, confirming the child had sustained multiple moderate injuries. After stabilising him, they transferred him to the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria in Santa Cruz by ambulance for further treatment.

The Arona Local Police also attended, assisting medical teams and preparing reports on the incident.

Authorities have not released further details on the circumstances of the fall, but it is being treated as accidental.
