Clouds and increasing winds are expected across the Canary Islands today, Saturday, with the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) forecasting intervals of cloud cover in the northern areas of the mountainous islands, as well as in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
Brighter spells are expected during the central hours of the day, while northerly winds are set to intensify into the afternoon, reaching strong intervals in some areas.
At sea, northerly to north-easterly winds will blow at force 3 to 5, particularly along the eastern and western coasts of the islands. Conditions will range from slight to moderately rough seas, with areas of rougher waters likely around the eastern islands and Tenerife. A north or north-westerly swell of between one and two metres is also expected.

LANZAROTE
Cloudy intervals with sunny spells are expected during the middle of the day. No significant change in temperatures. Moderate northerly winds.

Partly cloudy with clearing expected during the central hours. Temperatures are stable or with a slight increase in minimum values. Moderate northerly winds.

GRAN CANARIA
Cloudy intervals in the north, clearing during the day. Mostly clear elsewhere, although cloud cover will increase in the south by midday. Temperatures with little variation. Moderate northerly winds, with strong intervals on western and southeastern slopes.
Expected temperatures: 19°C (min) / 23°C (max).
TENERIFE
Cloudy intervals in the north with brightening through the day. Clear skies elsewhere, becoming cloudier in the south by midday. Temperatures largely unchanged, though highs may dip in high-altitude areas. Moderate northerly winds, strengthening in the afternoon with strong intervals along the eastern slopes.
